As a young South African who has grown up in the era of democracy, it really pains me to read some of these posts. I am amazed at the mentality and maturity of some people. Why can so many people not see beyond ‘white, black’ and ‘coloured’? after so many years of democracy i would have hoped that by now people would be past that. i am part of the ‘new generation’ and i find it selfish of the older generation to still have racist ideas and opinions as it in a sense sabotages my and other young peoples futures because we will remain in the same cycle. While some might say my heritage is European, i say my heritage is African. This is the country i have grown up in and love. i have been privileged to experience and learn so much about other cultures and belief systems, for free! we have a richness in our diversity people! instead of being proud of your race, be proud of the strength of your country and the people within it; as opportunitires allow the country to move foreward so should our mindsets… if not for yourselves at least for the youth.

Why cant the author see beyond the the snow covered rainbow that the rest of the planet is fueled with. The political propaganda that is shit shoveled out of the government manifesto’s underlined and pinned with innuendo, and mass hatred. I was part of the ‘new generation’ and find it selfish of the youth today still live in a darkened corner oblivious of the ‘real’ South Africa, sabotaging their own minds into a indoctrination of ‘this is what we have to believe”you have no opinion, ours is the only way’. I say my heritage was African, now i can’t run fast enough into accepting the fact that i am European, so as not to be grouped with the sectarianism of the new parliament’. I have learnt from other cultures and have seen enough for me to want to unlearn some of its aspects, in part its new cultures. There is no more richness of diversity as reverse racism has sought to destroy the Afrikaner culture and the rest that do NOT believe in the new regime. i was proud of my race but now im scorned for doing so, i was proud of my country, but now live in embarrassment being associated with it. There is no opportunity, only for those that fall in line and i never want to be ostracized and i will do this to save my youth, my children.

This is home for many Bantu Blacks and whites who have made South Africa their home through many generations of birth rights and have been here (in South Africa) just as long as the major majority of the Bantu people who also migrated here from the north of our borders. Constable Rebecca Mfisa of Florida SAPS crime-prevention unit arrested for May 22 2010 farm attack attempt against Schweizer-Reneke farmer Abraham Oosthuizen
Johannesburg – SAPS Constable Rebecca Mfisa of the SAPS Crime Prevention Unit in Florida, Gauteng was arrested and appeared in court for the attempted murder of Schweizer-Reneke farmer Abraham Oosthuizen, 36, on Friday. May 22 2010. She was remanded to May 31 for a formal bail application with two other suspects in the North West magistrate’s court on Monday and is being investigated for an attempted murder charge, North West police Lt-Gen. Lesetja Ephraim Beetha told the news media.
The female constable was arrested in a road-block while driving away from the crime scene – which is 333km from her duty station in Florida. Two other suspects appeared with her, namely Mr Modisaotsile Advocate Koki, 37, and ex-police officer Mr Thembila Johannes Rens, 35 – the latter is believed to be a in a relationship with Mfisa. The fourth suspect is still being sought, reports SAPA.
Mr Oosthuizen was attacked and fired upon at his car-port next to his homestead at about 20h00 Friday. The attackers fled after Oosthuizen fired off a shot and then barricaded himself inside his homestead while alerting the local farm-watch volunteers — some neighbours arrived on the scene within seven minutes while other farmers organised road-blocks around the farm and launched searches for the attackers. Mfisa was allegedly captured with incriminating materials in a white bakkie, chasing away from the crime-scene at high speed.
