After the incident with BBC journalist, I hope that the ANC has opened their eyes to see what an idiot they had placed as president of their party.
Instead of continuing Madiba’s vision of our rainbow nation, Malema is bringing back Apartheid. In reality Malema is a racist pig who deserves to be removed from politics completely.
In the eyes of the world we will be seen as a violent, uncultured country beczause of this one ass who continues to make a fool of himself and slowly make a mockery of our country and people.
I appeal to Jacob Zuma to remove him from his position and apologise for all Malema’s mess ups on behalf of the party and bring peace once again to our beautiful country.
A note to Malema : We are a non-reacist country, we have gone past all the hate and discrimination, we are an evolved nation and do not need you to pull our country back into Apartheid or bring war to us. I have nothing but love for my fellow South Africans. I do not see myself as indian, white, coloured or black. I see myself a a South African and proud to be a citizen of this country. Please leave if you do not feel this country is good enough for you. I’m sure Mugabe would welcome you with open arms as we do not.

We used to think Bob Mugabe was really funny because he belonged to some other country. Now that we have our own, its not that funny anymore. This guy is doing more harm to this country than anyone else since 1994. The ANC’s silence on Malema is probably more worrying than Malema himself. We wouldn’t even worry about him if the ANC discounted him. Their silence is seen as support. Is this a continuation of the policy of quiet diplomacy that they adopted in Zim? I am really worried about how things in SA are turning out.

I have only just now watched this clip after reading it weeks ago in the paper. I think that the journalist was out of order no matter how “apt” his interjection was – it was an attempt to belittle Julius and was disrespectful. Now setting aside whether the press should or should not “expose” the “truth” there are ways and means for doing this. I can’t see an UK or US journalist interrupting a press briefing with a prime minister or president in this way.
Malema’s anger although inarticulately expressed was in response to this rudeness. It is not significant that the journo may have “touched a nerve” or expressed a “truth”. There are better and more effective ways for a pressman to make his point. The media do have considerable influence and power which they frequently abuse. Few journalists can take the moral high ground on anything – as a profession they have a poor reputation.
At the end of the day a young black man was briefing the media inside the institution in which he is a spokesperson.
An older white man tried to wrong foot him with a personal remark. He reacted.
Get over it world. And once you have remember that everyone is worthy of the same respect you expect for yourself.
